Dear friends,
Which glass for sparkling wine to choose?
There are as many preferences as there are fans of sparkling wines made using the traditional method. Nevertheless, we have a little advice for you: when choosing a glass, remember the aroma.
What does that mean? The point is that the glass should allow you to fully enjoy the bouquet of the wine. Aroma is of particular value in the case of bubbles that have matured on the lees for a long time, such as our Classique Brut, which has spent almost 3 years on the lees. To extract the aroma from the glass, it is worth considering one that provides the largest possible surface area of contact between the wine and the air and the accumulation of aroma inside it.
A traditional champagne glass provides the first, but has a problem with the second. A flute, on the other hand, looks fantastic and makes the bubbles last longer, but the best aromatic effect is provided by a tulip.
